Andrew Bynum's knee problem was the Lakers' most notable injury during the playoffs even though Kobe Bryant had a finger problem and also needed to have his knee drained. But until the end of July, Bynum hadn't had his surgery during the offseason—and Bryant has. Bryant underwent arthroscopic knee surgery in mid-July, the Lakers announced July 23, and should be fine by training camp. There was no word on whether he's had surgery on his index finger. Bynum's surgery was pushed back to July 28 because of an issue with his doctor's schedule, but it was considered successful.
