Nash was named as runner-up to the nation's college basketball player of the year award in 1964. He was Kentucky's all-time leading scorer.
The Lakers had high hopes for him, but Nash struggled and ha was released during the 1964-1965 season and he later signed with the San Francisco Warriors on February 8, 1965.
