Played for the Lakers from 1975 to 1980


Ford signed with the Lakers in 1975 after passing up his senior year at UC Santa Barbara. He lasted four and a half years with the Lakers, before being sent to Cleveland midway through the 1979-80 season for Butch Lee. The deal also involved swapping first round picks in 1982, giving the Lakers the pick that ended up being the first overall pick. With that pick the Lakers selected James Worthy.
